AvantiGas required a Mechanical Engineering Degree student looking for some practical experience by way of an Internship with the view to offer the right candidate permanent employment once qualified.  Finding the right candidate to fill the internship vacancy in Ellesmere Port was difficult, due to the technical skills required to work in a major hazardous area.  And, the requirement to travel to Scotland meant the vacancy needed someone who could be flexible and willing to travel.

Through TalentBank, AvantiGas were able to access training via a local training provider and receive support in facilitating an assessment centre.  The TalentBank approach was something AvantiGas hadn’t considered before and they are already looking to recruit two further vacancies in Surrey and Suffolk.
