ENN open its first HGV LNG fuelling station

Recently, our first HGV LNG fuelling station was opened in the UK, at Kuehne + Nagel’s depot in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, marking a major milestone for ENN in the UK and Europe Market.

The station is located near the A45 Highway and 25 kilometres away from the M1 Expressway, at Kuehne + Nagel’s depot in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. As a starting-up, the station now serves 16 LNG HGVs, and the number will continue to grow in the future.

ENN Europe took 8 months collaborating with its equipment suppliers to develop the solution to adapt to the fledging phase of the UK market with insufficient amount of LNG powered vehicles. the station is a successful practice of ENN Europe’s  45” ISO containerised “plug and play” LNG refuelling solution. The unmanned station is located at the backyard of the customer, with low operation cost, zero land rent and utility bills covered by the customer, which enables ENN to make profit in a short time.

The commissioning of the station will also play an important role in promoting the construction of another 4 stations in UK which are about to be completed and put into operation in the near future.  Investment proposals for these 4 stations have already got approval from ENN Group head office and are now undergoing negotiation with customers. “Our aim is to provide seamless LNG fuelling for logistics fleets throughout NW Europe and Wellingborough is an important first step on this journey.” said Michael Liu, General Manager, ENN Europe.
